THE HOW TO

A colorful, fun, stop-motion style daily video series with 100+ episodes. Designed to inspire millennial women to get creative. In under one minute, each video demonstrates how to make cool stuff with featured projects spanning lifestyle categories like decor and food.

"How to" is one of the most searched phrases on the Internet, and statistically we are more likely to watch a video than read a tutorial. The problem is that most how-to videos feel hacked and homemade, even the ones produced by large brands. They tend to be overly expository and not nearly as fun or inspiring as they could be. We find ourselves fast-forwarding through muck to get the information we need. With this project, I set out to break through the clutter by raising the bar on production quality. I created a DIY video brand that inspires, simplifies and teases creativity, even for people who are usually way too intimated to try their hand at making things.

As the executive producer and director, I developed the series concept, built a dedicated set in collaboration with the DP,  directed and art directed episodes, oversaw edits and music library development, iterated to improve the series over several months, developed a signature animation style and trained the in-house team to continue producing the series.
